The Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing prepares students to become competent in practising nursing in various Medical and Surgical clinical areas. The faculty in the department trains students to acquire knowledge related to wellness, health promotion, illness, nursing management, patients with various medical and surgical disease conditions, palliative and hospice care. The students are prepared to provide quality nursing care incorporating the principles of safety, communication, teamwork and collaboration and evidence-based practice to patients across life span with a positive attitude. The activities of the department focus on competency-based skill training, developing leadership skills and research potential among students and faculty.
